Susan, a friend of mine, stays in a sprawling bungalow. One day she lit a bonfire and her small kids enjoyed the sight and excitedly threw all the rubbish from the garden to make the fire more bright and sparkling. Little did Susan know at that time that her children would try to recreate a bonfire in their room using pages from their old exercise books and story books. Well, things would have taken a tragic turn had there not been a Fire Ladder which enabled her kids to clamber down and escape from the attic.
