Do you work in the retail/restaurant business? Are sales down? By how much?

People are driving less, but are they buying less? I know my family hasn’t gone out to eat in a long while. Can’t afford it, but it seems like a lot of restaurants are running really good deals. I think this reccession will be long and hard , so I’m trying to save money rather than spend it. Are retail sales down? Food has gone up so much and so has so many other items…

Sales are even with last year at this time.
